* The BSE Sensex ended at 53,054.76 up by 193.58 points or 0.37% after trading in a range of 53,105.41 and 52,751.76. There were 21 stocks advancing and 9 stocks declining on the index.

* The broader indices ended in green; the BSE Mid cap index up by 0.58%, and Small cap index was up by 0.38%.

* The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were, Capital Goods was up by 0.92%, Telecom was up by 0.37%, Realty was up by 1.91%, and FMCG was up by 0.47%, while, Oil & Gas was down by 0.47%, Energy was down by 0.64%, and Utilities was down by 0.23%, were top lossing indices were on BSE.

* There were TATA Steel was up by 4.38%, Bajaj Finserv was up by 2.28%, Indusind Bank was up by 1.42%, HDFC was up by 1.41%, and Nestle India was up by 1.26%, the top gainers were on the Sensex.

* There were Titan was down by 2.06%, Maruti was down by 0.81%, Reliance was down by 0.74%, Mahindra & Mahindra was down by 0.50% and Tech Mahindra was down by 0.39%, the top losers were on the Sensex.

* The CNX Nifty ended at 15,879.65 up by 61.40 points or 0.39% after trading in a range of 15,893.55 and 15,779.70. There were 33 stocks advancing and 17 stocks declining
