* The BSE Sensex ended at 52,653.07 up by 209.36 points or 0.40% after trading in a range of 52,777.18 and 52,561.39. There were 17 stocks advancing and 13 stocks declining on the index.

* The broader indices ended in green; the BSE Mid cap index up by 0.39%, and Small cap index was up by 0.90%.

* The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were, Realty was up by 1.58%, Capital Goods was up by 0.09%, and Energy was up by 0.56%, while, FMCG was down by 0.92%, Utilities was down by 0.04%, Oil & Gas was down by 0.16%, and Telecom was down by 0.59%, were top lossing indices were on BSE.

* There were TATA Steel was up by 6.87%, Bajaj Finserv was up by 4.48%, SBIN was up by 3.83%, HCL Tech was up by 2.54%, and Sun Pharma was up by 2.28%, the top gainers were on the Sensex.

* There were Maruti was down by 2.21%, Power Grid was down by 2.13%, ITC was down by 1.51%, Bajaj Auto was down by 1.51%, and Dr. Reddy was down by 1.25%, the top losers were on the Sensex.

* The CNX Nifty ended at 15,778.45 up by 69.05 points or 0.44% after trading in a range of 15,817.35 and 15,737.80. There were 23 stocks advancing and 27 stocks declining.
