Piramal Enterprises Q4 net profit zooms 301.77% at Rs 316.23 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 316.23 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 78.71 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 301.77 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 16.22 per cent at Rs 573.64 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 493.59 crore in the corresponding period last year. During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 71.42 per cent to Rs 341.29 crore from Rs 199.09 crore in year ago period.
Other Income grew by 1211.50 per cent at Rs 302.17 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 23.04 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 21.10 per cent to Rs 232.35 crore as against Rs 294.50 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 32.12 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 7.25 per cent y-o-y to Rs 167.76 crore, while Taxation decreased by 12.16 per cent at Rs 44.37 crore (Mar'21 Rs 50.51 crore).
