HIGHLIGHTS:
Nifty futures closed at 14696 on a positive note with 2.50% decrease in open interest indicating Short Covering, Nifty Futures closed at a premium of 48 points compared to previous day premium of 70 points BankNifty closed at 34393 on a positive note with 11.87% decrease in open interest indicating Short Covering. BankNifty Futures closed at a premium of 125 points compared to the previous day premium of 187 points.
FII's were Sellers in Index Futures to the tune of 975 crores and were Buyers in Index Options to the tune of 3562 crores, Sellers in the Stock Futures to the tune of 921 crores. Net Buyers in derivative segment to the tune of 1517 crores.
India VIX index is at 23.32 v/s 25.34.Nifty ATM call option IV is currently 23.49 whereas Nifty ATM put option IV is quoting at 22.03
