HIGHLIGHTS:
Nifty futures closed at 13844 on a negative note with 42.60% increase in open interest indicating Short Build Up Nifty Futures closed at a premium of 27 points compared to previous day premium of 53 points BankNifty closed at 30365 on a negative note with 58.30% increase in open interest indicating Short Build Up. BankNifty Futures closed at a premium of 6 points compared to the previous day premium of 99 points.
FII's were Sellers in Index Futures to the tune of 1389 crores and were Buyers in Index Options to the tune of 4746 crores, Buyers in the Stock Futures to the tune of 920 crores. Net Buyers in derivative segment to the tune of 5091 crores. India VIX index is at 24.29 v/s 24.39.Nifty ATM call option IV is currently 21.74 whereas Nifty ATM put option IV is quoting at 26.71
