Nestle India slips as its parent organization selling North American bottled-water brands for $4.3 billion

Nestle India is currently trading at Rs. 16345.85, down by 28.30 points or 0.17% from its previous closing of Rs. 16374.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 16395.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 16477.60 and Rs. 16214.45 respectively. So far 4689 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 18821.45 on 24-Dec-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 12588.95 on 19-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 17634.60 and Rs. 16214.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 157536.05 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.76%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.59% and 16.65% respectively.

Nestle India’s parent organization -- Nestle is selling its bottled-water brands in North America for $4.3 billion to a pair of private-equity firms that hope to reinvigorate sales. Brands including Poland Spring, Deer Park, Arrowhead, Ozarka, Zephyrhills and Pure Life will be sold to a subsidiary of One Rock Capital Partners and investment firm Metropoulos & Co. The deal, which is expected to close this spring, will create one of the largest beverage companies in the US. Nestle's North American water business has 27 production facilities and more than 7,000 employees. It sources water from 38 active springs throughout the US.
