National Steel and Agro Industries posts Q4 net loss of Rs 86.92 cr

The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 86.92 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 51.66 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company declined substantially by 36.52 per cent at Rs 158.64 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 249.91 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses dropped by 46.73 per cent to Rs 138.60 crore from Rs 260.17 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 154.93 per cent at Rs 1.81 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 0.71 crore). Operating Profit surged by 295.32 per cent to Rs 20.04 crore as against Rs -10.26 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 407.30 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 10.76 per cent y-o-y to Rs 54.02 crore, while Taxation increased by 111.79 per cent at Rs 2.23 crore (Mar'21 Rs -18.92 crore).
