NMDC Q3 net profit down 2.81% at Rs 2049.67 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 2,049.67 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 2108.91 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 2.81 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 34.87 per cent at Rs 5,873.77 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 4,355.10 crore in the corresponding period last year. During October-December quarter, operating expenses increased by 105.56 per cent to Rs 3,261.37 crore from Rs 1,586.54 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 45.83 per cent at Rs 152.87 crore versus (Dec'20 Rs 104.83 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 5.64 per cent to Rs 2,612.40 crore as against Rs 2,768.56 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 30.03 per cent in December quarter. Interest grew by 460.37 per cent y-o-y to Rs 9.19 crore, while Taxation decreased by 8.02 per cent at Rs 645.71 crore (Dec'20 Rs 702.01 crore).
