NLC India rises on signing pact with Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam for 300 MW solar power supply

NLC India is currently trading at Rs. 127.50, up by 2.25 points or 1.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 125.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 127.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 129.40 and Rs. 124.80 respectively. So far 117236 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 139.20 on 09-Aug-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 65.05 on 30-Sep-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 133.70 and Rs. 124.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 17832.15 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 79.20%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.14% and 7.66% respectively.

NLC India has inked a pact with Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam for supply of 300 MW solar power for the next 25 years. A central PSU, the NLC secured 510 MW solar project capacity in the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III floated by Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) through competitive bidding. The 300 MW solar project capacity is under execution at Barsingsar, Bikaner District of Rajasthan.

The EPC (Engineering, procurement and construction) contract for the project has been awarded to TATA power solar systems. The Power Usage Agreement (PUA) for the 300 MW solar project was signed between NLC India and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam on August 17,2023 at Jaipur. 

NLC India is engaged in the business of lignite mining and power generation.
