NHPC moves up on inking pact to develop pumped storage, renewable projects in Odisha.

NHPC is currently trading at Rs. 45.67, up by 0.10 points or 0.22% from its previous closing of Rs. 45.57 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 45.61 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 45.90 and Rs. 45.30 respectively. So far 803401 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 47.88 on 27-Apr-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 30.45 on 30-Jun-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 46.82 and Rs. 44.82 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 45835.49 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.95%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.28% and 5.77% respectively.

NHPC has inked an initial pact with an Odisha state utility to develop 2,000 MW of pumped storage projects and 1,000 MW renewable energy in the state.

The MoU signed with GRIDCO envisages setting up self-identified pumped storage projects of at least 2,000 MW and renewable energy projects (Ground-Mounted Solar Projects / Floating Solar Projects) of at least 1,000 MW in the state. 

NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
