The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 35.32 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 67.46 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 47.64 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 13.46 per cent at Rs 459.21 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 404.74 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 20.95 per cent to Rs 425.42 crore from Rs 351.74 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 64.61 per cent at Rs 18.19 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 51.40 crore).
Operating Profit slipped by 36.23 per cent to Rs 33.80 crore as against Rs 53.00 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 43.82 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 189.53 per cent y-o-y to Rs -9.15 crore, while Taxation decreased by 17.96 per cent at Rs 12.06 crore (Mar'20 Rs 14.70 crore).
