The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 244.00 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 227.00 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 7.49 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 35.02 per cent at Rs 1,604.00 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,188.00 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 41.24 per cent to Rs 1,370.00 crore from Rs 970.00 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 2.86 per cent at Rs 108.00 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 105.00 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 7.34 per cent to Rs 234.00 crore as against Rs 218.00 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 20.49 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 33.33 per cent y-o-y to Rs 6.00 crore, while Taxation decreased by 35.09 per cent at Rs 37.00 crore (Mar'20 Rs 57.00 crore).
