Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals posts Q4 net profit of Rs 328.30 cr

The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 328.30 crore compared to net loss of Rs 1596.44 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company declined substantially by 22.62 per cent at Rs 13,575.94 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 17,545.07 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses dropped by 34.61 per cent to Rs 12,730.00 crore from Rs 19,467.19 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 10.03 per cent at Rs 27.63 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 30.71 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 144.01 per cent to Rs 845.94 crore as against Rs -1,922.12 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 156.84 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 26.67 per cent y-o-y to Rs 136.67 crore, while Taxation increased by 128.14 per cent at Rs 190.60 crore (Mar'20 Rs -677.39 crore).
