The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 265.27 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 457.95 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 42.07 per cent. Net revenue of the company declined moderately by 19.82 per cent at Rs 1,054.73 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,315.46 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 23.54 per cent to Rs 326.69 crore from Rs 264.43 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 157.32 per cent at Rs 8.44 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 3.28 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 30.73 per cent to Rs 728.04 crore as against Rs 1,051.03 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 13.60 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 17.33 per cent y-o-y to Rs 336.93 crore, while Taxation decreased by 37.35 per cent at Rs 93.90 crore (Mar'21 Rs 149.89 crore).
