Lupin posts Q4 net loss of Rs 35.89 cr

The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 35.89 crore compared to net profit of Rs 316.36 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company declined by 0.49 per cent at Rs 2,503.67 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 2,515.96 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 12.60 per cent to Rs 2,354.39 crore from Rs 2,090.91 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 75.56 per cent at Rs 16.15 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 66.07 crore). Operating Profit surged by 17.87 per cent to Rs 501.00 crore as against Rs 425.05 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 18.47 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 99.68 per cent y-o-y to Rs 24.58 crore, while Taxation increased by 961.54 per cent at Rs 397.44 crore (Mar'21 Rs 37.44 crore).
