LIC surges on reporting many fold jump in Q1 consolidated net profit
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is currently trading at Rs. 704.05, up by 21.90 points or 3.21% from its previous closing of Rs. 682.15 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 693.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 706.50 and Rs. 691.95 respectively. So far 115311 shares were traded on the counter.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has reported many fold jump in its net profit at Rs 682.89 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 2.94 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 9.55% at Rs 168,881.91 crore for Q1FY23 as compared Rs 154,153.26 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On the consolidated basis, the company has reported many fold jump in its net profit at Rs 602.79 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 24.37 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 9.36% at Rs 169,600.74 crore for Q1FY23 as compared Rs 155,079.57 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
