Ola, Uber drivers fret over 5% convenience fee on each autorickshaw ride                      

The Ola Uber Drivers and Owners' Association (OUDOA) and the autorickshaw drivers linked with the ride-hailing companies are apprehensive about the five per cent convenience fee and Goods and Services Tax levied on every autorickshaw ride taken up by passengers. The Karnataka government on November 25 directed the regional transport authorities to charge five per cent convenience fee and GST from the ride hailing companies on each autorickshaw ride by the passengers.

Godrej Properties to launch Rs 8,000 cr housing project in Delhi by March                      

Godrej Properties expects to launch a luxury housing project at Ashok Vihar in the national capital in March quarter and is eyeing Rs 8,000 crore of sales revenue from this property. It had in February 2020 acquired a nearly 27-acre land in the national capital for Rs 1,359 crore to develop a luxury housing project. The land parcel belonged to Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA). In an interview with PTI, Godrej Properties Executive Chairman Pirojsha Godrej said the company is still awaiting the final approval to start the work and sales of its upcoming housing project at Ashok Vihar.

IndiGo can wet lease Turkish Boeing 777 planes for a yr as govt eases rule                   

With the civil aviation ministry relaxing norms, IndiGo can now wet-lease Boeing 777 aircraft from Turkish Airlines for a year. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation had earlier denied IndiGo’s request to wet-lease aircraft for two years. According to the earlier rule, an Indian carrier could induct an aircraft on a wet lease for three months, subject to a one-time extension of additional three months. Such leases are permitted in emergency situations only. These include unexpected grounding of planes, and unscheduled maintenance, among others.

Paytm Payments to reapply for authorisation of payment aggregator service                

India's leading digital payments and financial services company Paytm on Saturday shared an update with the exchanges about its 100 per cent subsidiary, Paytm Payments Services Limited (PPSL). The company said that it has received a letter from the RBI in response to an application from PPSL for the authorisation to provide payment aggregator services ("PA application") for online merchants.

Adani arm seeks licence to expand power distribution in parts of Mumbai                      

An Adani Group company has sought licence for expanding its power distribution business into more areas of Mumbai, including the country's largest container port JNPT. In an advertisement published in several newspapers in the city on Saturday, Adani Electricity Navi Mumbai (AENM) said it has approached the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) for a distribution licence in some pockets of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region along with its listed parent Adani Transmission.
