Ola EV fire: Centre deputes team of experts to investigate case
The Centre has decided to depute a team of independent experts to investigate incidents of Ola electric scooters catching fire, CNBC-TV18 reported - quoting government sources.
The government sources said: “Centre has taken note of the incidents involving fires in electric vehicles; will probe them… Deputing independent experts to investigate cases of EVs catching fire.”
Russia's Gazprom seeks gas payments in euros from GAIL India: Report
Gazprom has asked India's largest gas transmitter GAIL (India) to pay for gas imports in euros instead of dollars, two sources said, in a sign the Russian energy giant seeks to wean itself away from the U.S. currency in the wake of the Ukraine conflict.
European countries and the United States have imposed heavy sanctions on Russia since Moscow sent troops into Ukraine on Feb. 24.

SBI Life insurance launches block deal, Canada Pension Fund to sell 0.56% stake
SBI Life insurance on March 28 launched a block deal wherein Canada Pension Fund will sell its 0.56 percent stake in the company at a price band of Rs 1,039 - Rs 1,077 apiece, per a CNBC-TV18 report.
This is the second sale by Canada Pension Fund in a week. Last week it sold 4 crore shares in Kotak Mahindra Bank. The Canada Pension Fund on March 23 offloaded 1.41 to 2.02 percent stake in Kotak Mahindra Bank at Rs 1,681.26- 1,769.75 per share. The total deal value was estimated to be around Rs 4,707.5 crore to Rs 4,955 crore.
BlackRock, Mubadala to invest in Tata’s green energy initiative
Asset manager BlackRock, and Mubadala Investment, the sovereign wealth fund of the United Arab Emirates, are in talks to invest around $500 million and $200 million, respectively, in a proposed new energy entity to be floated by Tata Power. The new vehicle will house all renewable energy assets of Tata Power, including hydropower, as well as its transmission and distribution business.
Tata AIA Life expects total premium income to cross Rs 14,000 cr in FY22
Tata AIA Life Insurance's total premium income is likely to grow over 30 per cent to cross Rs 14,000 crore in the current fiscal, a top company official has said.The industry growth for the first 10 months of the year has been about 20 per cent mainly because of the base effect and if you look at the growth of the company, it is about 32 per cent on weighted new business premium, Naveen Tahilyani, MD & CEO, Tata AIA Life Insurance Co Ltd, told PTI in an interaction. The life insurer had earned a total premium income of Rs 11,105.09 crore in 2020-21.
