Jeera dropped on profit booking after prices rallied amid high exports and supply shortage
Traders are avoiding bulk buying in anticipation of rise in seasonal supply of jeera in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
The market is expecting a lower yield and quality of jeera this season
In April 2023 around 17,084.87 tonnes of jeera was exported as against 19,456.02 tonnes in March 2023 showing a drop of 12.19%.
Dhaniya
Observations
Dhaniya trading range for the day is 6426-6846
Dhaniya prices gained amid higher demand in export market
Supplies are improving in Rajasthan, likely to witness bumper production in current year.
Carry over stocks of old coriander is around 5-6 lakh bags is estimated to remain
Dhaniya exports during Apr 2023, rose by 185.64 percent compared to Apr 2022
Turmeric
Observations
TMCFGRNZM trading range for the day is 9388-10284
Turmeric gains as production to decreased by 45-50% in South India.
Support also seen as the untimely rains that occurred in various places in the Andhra Pradesh damaged turmeric crops.
Supplies in Maharashtra and Telangana are likely to increase as farmers are getting fair realization on their produce.
In April 2023 around 19,590.87 tonnes of turmeric was exported as against 18,810.47 tonnes in March 2023 showing a rise of 4.15%.
