Indian banks` loans rose 13.2% y/y in two weeks to June 17 - central bank
Indian banks' loans rose 13.2% in the two weeks to June 17 from a year earlier, while deposits rose 8.3%, the Reserve Bank of India's weekly statistical supplement showed on Friday.
Outstanding loans rose 79.99 billion rupees ($1.01 billion) to 121.49 trillion rupees in the two weeks to June 17.
Non-food credit rose 130.68 billion rupees to 121.05 trillion rupees, while food credit fell 50.69 billion rupees to 435.59 billion rupees.
Bank deposits fell 1.64 trillion rupees to 165.70 trillion rupees in the two weeks to June 17.
