Indian Hotels Company gains on signing Vivanta-branded hotel in Guwahati
Indian Hotels Company is currently trading at Rs. 394.70, up by 1.35 points or 0.34% from its previous closing of Rs. 393.35 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 391.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 397.25 and Rs. 391.60 respectively. So far 66711 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 399.40 on 02-Jun-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 207.25 on 20-Jun-2022.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 398.70 and Rs. 380.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 56056.07 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 38.19%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.83% and 15.98% respectively.
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a Vivanta-branded hotel in Guwahati, Assam. The greenfield project is slated to open by 2026. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have four hotels in Assam including two under development. Guwahati, situated on the banks of the Brahmaputra River, is the largest city in Assam. As a major tea manufacturing and processing center, the city is also famous for ancient temples including Kamakhya.
The 150 key hotel is strategically situated in close proximity to important commercial centers and to Dispur, the capital of Assam. In addition to the rooms, the hotel will have Mynt, Vivanta’s signature all-day-diner, the bar, and recreational facilities including a swimming pool and a fitness center. It will offer over 4,000 sq.ft. of banqueting and meeting spaces.
