Indian Hotels Co posts Q1 net loss of Rs 190.24 cr
The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 190.24 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 238.81 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company rose triple digit by 117.77 per cent at Rs 207.40 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 95.24 crore in the corresponding period last year. During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 18.21 per cent to Rs 303.92 crore from Rs 257.11 crore in year ago period.
Other Income dipped by 13.51 per cent at Rs 18.88 crore versus (Jun'20 Rs 21.83 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 40.37 per cent to Rs -96.52 crore as against Rs -161.87 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 72.62 per cent in June quarter. Interest grew by 28.90 per cent y-o-y to Rs 81.21 crore, while Taxation decreased by 42.44 per cent at Rs -30.09 crore (Jun'20 Rs -52.28 crore).
