IndiGo flies high on inking new codeshare agreement with Virgin Atlantic
Interglobe Aviation is currently trading at Rs. 2053.30, up by 14.60 points or 0.72% from its previous closing of Rs. 2038.70 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 2033.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2060.00 and Rs. 2030.30 respectively. So far 10259 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2379.00 on 16-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1513.30 on 20-Jun-2022.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2060.00 and Rs. 1906.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 79112.38 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.10% and 2.13% respectively.
InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) and Virgin Atlantic have entered into a new codeshare between the UK and India, offering seamless connections and increased opportunities for frequent flyers to earn more points than ever before.
The codeshare partnership will mean customers booking a Virgin Atlantic ticket will be able to fly on the airline’s London Heathrow to Delhi and Mumbai flights and connect to and from 7 additional cities in India. Later this year the agreement will be expanded to cover a total of 16 destinations throughout India, as well as connections onto Virgin Atlantic’s extensive US network operated via London Heathrow.
The agreement will allow Virgin Atlantic to sell seats to passengers connecting onto IndiGo flights. The initial codeshare destinations in India include Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa, Delhi and Mumbai. The additional destinations will include Kochi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Pune, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Vadodara, Indore and Visakhapatnam.
The new codeshare agreement will allow Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club members to reach their rewards faster, with opportunities to earn both Virgin Points and Tier Points available on every codeshare with IndiGo.
