Hathway Cable & Datacom falls despite reporting 7% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Hathway Cable & Datacom is currently trading at Rs. 15.11, down by 0.69 points or 4.37% from its previous closing of Rs. 15.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 16.19 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 16.19 and Rs. 14.91 respectively. So far 1207003 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 19.70 on 05-Sep-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 12.21 on 29-Mar-2023.

Hathway Cable & Datacom has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2023 (Q1FY24). 

Hathway Cable & Datacom has reported 12.20% fall in its net profit at Rs 19.64 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 22.37 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 3.18% at Rs 176.92 crore for Q1FY24 as compared Rs 182.73 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 6.63% rise in its net profit at Rs 22.36 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2023 as compared to Rs 20.97 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 14.76% at Rs 533.37 crore for Q1FY24 as compared Rs 464.79 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
