HDFC gains on reporting 22% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) has reported a rise of 16.37% in its net profit at Rs 3,700.32 crore for fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 3,179.83 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 5.13% at Rs 12,308.46 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 11,707.53 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 21.57% in its net profit at Rs 6,892.16 crore for fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 5,669.38 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 1.94% at Rs 35,059.75 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 35,753.86 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
For the year ended March 31, 2022, the company has reported a rise of 14.26% in its net profit at Rs 13,742.18 crore as compared to Rs 12,027.30 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 0.39% at Rs 47,990.20 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 48,175.86 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
For the year ended March 31, 2022, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 17.35% in its net profit at Rs 24,042.13 crore as compared to Rs 20,487.55 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 2.23% at Rs 135,968.08 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 139,071.24 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
