HDFC Bank gains as its MSME book grows 30% year-on-year

HDFC Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1492.90, up by 2.55 points or 0.17% from its previous closing of Rs. 1490.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1485.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1496.95 and Rs. 1474.35 respectively. So far 226753 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1650.00 on 24-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 738.90 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1548.05 and Rs. 1474.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 820864.06 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 26.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 61.06% and 12.95% respectively.

HDFC Bank's MSME book grew 30 percent year-on-year to cross the Rs 2-lakh-crore-mark as of December-end, mainly boosted by the pandemic-induced ECLG scheme under which it disbursed over Rs 23,000 crore. The growth is also driven by a renewed push towards customers in semi-urban and rural areas.
