FIIs stood as net sellers in equities as per October 16 data: NSDL

The FIIs as per Wednesday's data were net sellers in equity segments, while net buyers in debt segments, according to data released by the NSDL.
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 16631.38 crore against gross selling of Rs 18165.21 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 1533.83 crore in equities.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 2152.47 crore with gross sales of Rs 1476.63 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 675.84 crore in debt.
Of the total debt, FIIs stood as net sellers in Debt-General Limit segment at Rs 86.95 crore, they stood at net buyers in Debt-VRR segment at Rs 43.27 crore, while net buyers in Debt-FAR segment at Rs 719.52 crore.
In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 31.94 crore against gross selling of Rs 25.26 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 6.68 crore in hybrid segment.
