GlaxoSmithKline Pharma Q4 net profit down 90.76% at Rs 12.74 cr
The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 12.74 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 137.94 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 90.76 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose marginally by 4.05 per cent at Rs 807.27 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 775.88 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 6.10 per cent to Rs 638.48 crore from Rs 601.80 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 95.32 per cent at Rs 29.61 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 15.16 crore).
Operating Profit slipped by 3.04 per cent to Rs 168.79 crore as against Rs 174.08 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 6.82 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 58.28 per cent y-o-y to Rs 0.63 crore, while Taxation increased by 25.24 per cent at Rs 48.18 crore (Mar'20 Rs 38.47 crore).
