GlaxoSmithKline Phar Q1 net profit down 1.43% at Rs 118.68 cr
The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 118.68 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 120.40 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 1.43 per cent. Net revenue of the company declined by 5.69 per cent at Rs 729.46 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 773.46 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During April-June quarter, operating expenses dropped by 6.62 per cent to Rs 581.53 crore from Rs 622.77 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 12.42 per cent at Rs 27.79 crore versus (Jun'21 Rs 31.73 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 1.83 per cent to Rs 147.93 crore as against Rs 150.69 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 4.11 per cent in June quarter. Interest declined by 13.92 per cent y-o-y to Rs 0.68 crore, while Taxation increased by 0.16 per cent at Rs 43.59 crore (Jun'21 Rs 43.52 crore).
