GPT Infraprojects soars on commissioning Concrete Sleeper factory in Ghana

GPT Infraprojects is currently trading at Rs. 64.80, up by 1.90 points or 3.02% from its previous closing of Rs. 62.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 62.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 64.80 and Rs. 61.64 respectively. So far 12 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'T' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 70.45 on 30-Sep-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 39.08 on 29-Jun-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 66.20 and Rs. 59.93 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 376.95 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.34% and 22.66% respectively.

GPT Infraprojects (GPT) has successfully commissioned its Concrete Sleeper factory in Eshiem, Takoradi, Ghana with a capacity of 240,000 concrete sleepers per annum through its subsidiary, RMS GPT Ghana.

The factory is located in Eshiem, in the Western Province of Takoradi, Ghana and shall supply concrete sleepers for the Western Railway line project for which the subsidiary had received a contract currently valued at 123 crore. The factory shall have an annual capacity of 240,000 sleepers per annum and is GPT’s third factory in Africa, a promising market for new railway line construction and shall generate an employment of approximately 200 persons directly and indirectly.
