Emami Paper Mill posts Q4 net profit of Rs 47.28 cr

The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 47.28 crore compared to net loss of Rs 31.05 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 9.82 per cent at Rs 411.38 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 374.58 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 3.48 per cent to Rs 343.77 crore from Rs 332.22 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 69.01 per cent at Rs 1.20 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 0.71 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 59.61 per cent to Rs 67.61 crore as against Rs 42.36 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 45.27 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 47.36 per cent y-o-y to Rs 21.16 crore, while Taxation increased by 551.48 per cent at Rs 54.99 crore (Mar'20 Rs -12.18 crore).
