Below view on Auto sector December outlook post the wedding season from Ashwin Patil, Senior Research analyst at LKP Securities
"Wedding season is always an upbeat one for the auto sector. Definitely November and December are good seasons for weddings, thus in turn for the auto sales. Therefore we saw great retail numbers then. December is generally weak as customers wait to buy a vehicle with a new year registration date from a reselling point of view. So we expect a slight cool off in the coming month on a sequential basis. However on a yoy basis, on a low base we expect growth to continue. Retail sales are generally followed by wholesale sales which can be seen in coming months."
