Cochin Shipyard zooms on reporting 16% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

Cochin Shipyard is currently trading at Rs. 345.90, up by 21.75 points or 6.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 324.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 336.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 349.70 and Rs. 330.30 respectively. So far 43128 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 433.75 on 16-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 281.00 on 08-Mar-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 349.70 and Rs. 310.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4565.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.02% and 20.12% respectively.

Cochin Shipyard has reported a rise of 23.72% in its net profit at Rs 284.07 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 229.61 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 15.22% at Rs 1,324.23 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 1,149.35 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 16.26% in its net profit at Rs 274.62 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 236.22 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 15.33% at Rs 1,324.26 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 1,148.25 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, the company has reported a fall of 3.86% in its net profit at Rs 586.57 crore as compared to Rs 610.10 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 14.73% at Rs 3,456.42 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 3,012.76 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 7.34% in its net profit at Rs 563.96 crore as compared to Rs 608.66 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 14.75% at Rs 3,453.76 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 3,009.72 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
