Coal India rises on logging 27% jump in production in April
Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 183.70, up by 0.60 points or 0.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 183.10 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 183.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 184.55 and Rs. 178.85 respectively. So far 519307 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 209.00 on 22-Apr-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 127.05 on 30-Apr-2021.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 202.15 and Rs. 178.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 113394.20 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.79% and 5.07% respectively.
Coal India has logged a 27 per cent jump in production this month till April 28 amid skyrocketing demand for the fuel. Coal India produced 49.6 million tonnes of coal till April 28 and was expected to produce around 53 million tonnes in the entire month, which is expected to be the best ever compared to earlier years of the comparable month.
Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
