Coal India moves up as its arm dispatches highest ever coal in single day
Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 142.40, up by 3.80 points or 2.74% from its previous closing of Rs. 138.60 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 139.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 142.80 and Rs. 139.00 respectively. So far 444216 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 164.90 on 11-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 109.50 on 15-Oct-2020.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 142.80 and Rs. 132.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 87603.18 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.17% and 5.69% respectively.
Coal India’s subsidiary company -- Northern Coalfields (NCL) has dispatched the highest ever coal in a single day on August 27. On August 27, 2021 the company's offtake grew to a whopping 3.87 lakh tonnes. Northern Coalfields also sent the highest ever, 38 coal rakes of Indian Railway to upcountry coal consumers of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Delhi, and other states fulfilling the energy requirements of the country in this pandemic time.
NCL dispatches its majority of coal through eco-friendly modes like Indian Railway Rakes, merry-go-round (MGR), and belt pipe conveyor.
