China says underpricing rare earths will lead to race to bottom

China's industry minister Xiao Yaqing said on Monday that underpricing the country's rare earths would lead to a race to the bottom.
Xiao, speaking during a news briefing, also said some producers were producing excessive amounts of rare earths without protecting the environment.
