The Union cabinet on Wednesday approved the production linked incentive (PLI) for manufacturing of telecom equipment in India.
Accordingly, the scheme offers a incentive to boost domestic manufacturing and attract large investments in production of telecom equipment.
The aim of the scheme is to promote local manufacturing and reduce import dependence.
