Bajaj Auto declines on reporting 10% fall in July sales

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 4908.00, down by 23.55 points or 0.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 4931.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4870.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4978.00 and Rs. 4870.05 respectively. So far 8347 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4988.55 on 13-Jul-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3462.05 on 30-Sep-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4978.00 and Rs. 4823.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 139838.94 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.30% and 21.72% respectively.

Bajaj Auto has reported fall of 10% in total sales to 3,19,747 units in July 2023 as against 3,54,670 in the same month last year. Total domestic (2?WH + CV) sales decreased by 2% to 1,79,263 units in July 2023 as compared to 1,82,956 units in July 2022. Total exports decreased by 18% to 1,40,484 units in July 2023 as compared to 1,71,714 units in July 2022.

Total domestic two-wheeler sales were down by 14% at 1,41,990 units in July 2023 as compared to 1,64,384 units in the year-ago month. Total domestic Commercial Vehicles sales stood at 37,273 units in July 2023 as against 18,572 units in July 2022, registering a rise of 101%.
