BPCL rises on collaborating with CSIR-IICT

Bharat Petroleum Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 396.05, up by 0.30 points or 0.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 395.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 398.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 402.95 and Rs. 395.55 respectively. So far 134149 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 503.00 on 14-Sep-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 357.55 on 21-Dec-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 402.95 and Rs. 383.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 86238.64 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.98 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.56 % and 12.46 % respectively.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has collaborated with CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), to develop innovative Bio-reactor design to maximize Bio-Methane production for compressed Bio-gas (CBG) made from agricultural waste residues, such as wheat straw, rice straw, sugarcane bagasse, etc. The agreement will help reduce India’s dependency on crude oil imports.

BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
