BHEL gains on enabling record transmission of 6,000 MW power between Raigarh-Pugalur
Bharat Heavy Electricals is currently trading at Rs. 54.95, up by 0.50 points or 0.92% from its previous closing of Rs. 54.45 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 54.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 55.10 and Rs. 54.30 respectively. So far 1682343 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 79.50 on 09-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 43.00 on 19-Apr-2021.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 55.10 and Rs. 49.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 19064.30 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.17%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.66% and 19.17% respectively.
Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has enabled record power transmission of 6,000 MW from Ultra High Voltage Direct Current (UHVDC) link between Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu. This is the second UHVDC transmission project by BHEL. The company has achieved a major landmark with its equipment enabling record power transmission of 6,000 MW, over the recently commissioned ±800 kV, 6,000 MW UHVDC link between Western Region Grid (Raigarh, Chhattisgarh) and Southern Region Grid (Pugalur, Tamil Nadu). The project will supplement power availability in Southern Grid.
The company has established the first HVDC link in the country between Barsoor (Chhattisgarh) and Lower Sileru (Andhra Pradesh). Subsequently, BHEL has been involved in several HVDC links like Rihand-Dadri, Chandrapur-Padghe and Ballia-Bhiwadi.
