Atul inches up as its arm acquires stake in ARBL, ACEL

Atul is currently trading at Rs. 8212.40, up by 9.50 points or 0.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 8202.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 8285.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 8285.00 and Rs. 8187.10 respectively. So far 206 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 10975.40 on 11-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 7757.00 on 26-May-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 8285.00 and Rs. 7983.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 24411.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 44.94%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.65% and 22.41% respectively.

Atul’s wholly-owned subsidiary company -- Atul Bio Space (ABSL) has acquired equity shares of Atul (Retail) Brands (ARBL) and Atul Clean Energy (ACEL), (herein after referred to as 'the Group Companies'), from their other existing shareholders and consequently the Group Companies became step down wholly-owned subsidiary companies of the Company.

The Group Companies were associate companies of the Company. To streamline group structure, equity shares held by certain other group companies in the Group Companies were acquired by ABSL. Earlier ABSL was holding 43% equity shares in ARBL and 28% equity shares in ACEL and remaining equity shares were with certain other group companies. After these acquisitions, ABSL holds 100% equity shares of the Group Companies.

Atul operates through six business divisions, namely, Agrochemicals, Aromatics, Bulk Chemicals & Intermediates, Colors, Pharmaceuticals & Intermediates and Polymers.
