Atul Q1 net profit up 1.57% at Rs 158.54 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 158.54 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 156.09 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 1.57 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 37.39 per cent at Rs 1,425.75 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,037.71 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 48.37 per cent to Rs 1,219.25 crore from Rs 821.77 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 54.58 per cent at Rs 46.56 crore versus (Jun'21 Rs 30.12 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 4.37 per cent to Rs 206.50 crore as against Rs 215.94 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 30.42 per cent in June quarter. Interest grew by 57.89 per cent y-o-y to Rs 0.60 crore, while Taxation increased by 0.59 per cent at Rs 54.16 crore (Jun'21 Rs 53.84 crore).
