Internshala Trainings, the skilling engine of career-tech platform, Internshala, in its exclusive report, has observed that their Placement Guarantee Courses (PGC) will be getting more than 500 students job-ready within the growing Electric Vehicle (EV) industry field. One of the key elements in the report is the demographic data, which shows the cities where students are primarily enrolling in the PGC program. Bangalore, with 6%, emerged on top, while Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi contributed 5% of the total enrollments.

The report recorded that the educational background of the students enrolling in PGC varies, reflecting the program's inclusivity. The majority, accounting for 57% of enrollees, are pursuing B.Tech degrees, while 23% are studying Bachelor of Engineering (B.E). Furthermore, 5% are M.Tech students, 3% are B.Tech (Hons.) candidates, 3% are Master of Science (M.Sc) students, and 2% are pursuing Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degrees. This diverse academic mix underscores the program's ability to cater to a wide range of learners, regardless of their academic background.

While the program's enrollment is predominantly male, with 90% of students, it's essential to note that 10% are female. This figure in the report suggests an opportunity for more women to participate in and contribute to the dynamic field of electric vehicles.

The report showcased the growing demand for skilled workers in the EV sector is underscored by the involvement of prominent companies such as Olectra Greentech Ltd, Exide Industries Ltd, Tata Motors Ltd, Amara Raja Batteries Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Hero MotoCorp Ltd, and Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd in hiring skilled professionals.

PGC has also established partnerships and collaborations with industry players, including the widely used software tool Matlab/Simulink, to enhance students' learning experiences

Sumit Periwal, Head — Placement Gurantee Prograsm, XX, Internshala Trainings, said, “In this era of imminent growth in the EV industry, the PGC program equips students for thriving careers, fostering industry expansion and abundant employment opportunities. The latest Economic Survey of 2023 underscores the demand for skilled workers, projecting an impressive 49% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) in India's domestic electric vehicle market between 2022 and 2030. Anticipating approximately 10 million annual sales by 2030, the EV sector is poised to create around 50 million direct and indirect jobs. These statistics underscore the increasing need for a skilled workforce, emphasising the pivotal role of PGC in this dynamic landscape.”

Looking ahead, the report anticipates enrolling over 1,500 with the launch of the EV Placement Guarantee Course in the next few years. This program is expected to be a gateway for individuals to embark on their careers within the burgeoning Electric Vehicle (EV) industry. While specific success stories or testimonials
