Indian Ambassador to United Nations, Parvathaneni Harish said that the focus will on future and youth is the future. He further said that focus may be on how to include youth in sustainable development, governance and nation building.
He said, “As the Secretary General said, we have UN systems build by our grandfathers and this is not the future that we can leave for our grandchildren. Focus of the summit is the future and the youth is the future. India has the largest youth component globally. I think when Prime Minister speaks, he brings the message of youth of India; their aspiration, their contribution in the development process. I think the focus will be on sustainable development, financing for development. The focus will on how can we bring the youth in the process of governance and nation building? We wait eagerly to hear the Prime Minister.”
