''No significant technical concerns linked to E20 fuel'', says Maruti Suzuki Official Rahul Bharti
Clarifying concerns over vehicular compliance with E20 fuel, Rahul Bharti, Corporate Affairs Senior Executive Officer at Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Regarding our E10-compliant cars, specifically those manufactured prior to 2023, we serviced approximately 1.5 crore such vehicles across the Maruti network during the 2025-26 financial year. Even though these cars were designed for E10 fuel rather than E20, we did not observe any issues when E20 fuel was used. There were no significant technical concerns linked to the use of E20 fuel... Fuel adulteration has existed in India for a long time; it remains an issue and is addressed on an ongoing basis. It has no connection to E20 fuel... Extensive in-house testing confirmed that there would be no negative impact..."
