NHPC is currently trading at Rs. 36.95, up by 0.15 points or 0.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 36.80 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 37.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 37.25 and Rs. 36.50 respectively. So far 545645 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 40.40 on 02-Sep-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 27.05 on 29-Mar-2022.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 39.80 and Rs. 36.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 37015.95 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.95%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.17% and 7.88% respectively.
NHPC has reportedly inked MoU with IIT Jammu. The agreement is to utilize the services of IIT Jammu for undertaking R&D activities in the field of science, engineering and technology. The company has already an established R&D division undertaking various innovative initiatives in different fields of Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Hydro Power Projects/Stations. This MoA will further provide an impetus to Research & Development activities with a new zeal.
NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
