Bombay Dyeing posts Q3 net loss of Rs 82.40 cr

The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 82.40 crore compared to net profit of Rs 162.93 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company rose marginally by 2.26 per cent at Rs 386.22 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 377.70 crore in the corresponding period last year. During October-December quarter, operating expenses dropped by 5.96 per cent to Rs 357.74 crore from Rs 380.41 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 16.79 per cent at Rs 9.91 crore versus (Dec'19 Rs 11.91 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 1150.92 per cent to Rs 28.48 crore as against Rs -2.71 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 1123.61 per cent in December quarter. Interest grew by 4.49 per cent y-o-y to Rs 145.34 crore, while Taxation decreased by 89.09 per cent at Rs -32.84 crore (Dec'19 Rs -301.09 crore).
