Welspun Corp rises as its arm gets nod to incorporate subsidiary in Jordan

Welspun Corp is currently trading at Rs. 2695.55, up by 37.85 points or 1.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 2657.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2763.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2791.10 and Rs. 2,668.00 respectively. So far 51573 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2,791.10 on 21-Sep-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 709.75 on 02-Feb-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2,791.10 and Rs. 2240.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 71175.99 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.73%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.25% and 21.01% respectively.  

Welspun Corp’s wholly-owned subsidiary -- Welspun Global Holdings (WGHL) has received approval to incorporate a wholly owned subsidiary in the name of ‘Welspun Pipe Jordan, PSC’ or such other name as may be approved by the relevant authorities in Jordan. The board of directors of WGHL at its meeting held on September 18, 2026 has considered and approved the same.

The proposed company shall be incorporated to carry on the business of manufacturing, producing, processing and fabricating wires, tubes and pipes of iron and steel, including line pipes and other iron and steel tubular products for use in the transportation of water, gas and oil and any other industrial sector as well as for carrying on the business of casting and processing of iron and steel and the manufacture of products and components resulting from such casting activities.
