Former South African captain Graeme Smith spoke about the upcoming South African T20 cricket league. He also spoke about the Indian-South African cricketing history and the growing brand value of the Indian Premier League (IPL) throughout the years. He also spoke about Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's inclusion in the twenty-over side for the upcoming World Cup. Graeme Smith went on to say that cricket as a sport can challenge football in terms of a global sport. In an exclusive chat with ANI, former South African captain Graeme Smith said, "I am excited for SA20."I am excited for several reasons. From a cricketing perspective, I think our six teams are looking absolutely into an association, as you know, the strength of the IPL brands that have been built up over the last 15–16 years. You know, not only the association, but we also know that South Africa and India have always had a close relationship from a cricketing perspective. The fans in India have always been terrific to the South African team, and I think over the 15–16 years, not only nationally but during the IPL, there's been a lot of South African talent that's now playing in the SA20. So, yeah, we hope that fans from around the world will tune in and watch SA20."
