UPL rises as its arm acquires Advanta Holdings

UPL is currently trading at Rs. 602.50, up by 0.70 points or 0.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 601.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 600.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 608.50 and Rs. 593.30 respectively. So far 40586 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 639.00 on 18-Sep-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 448.00 on 14-Mar-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 608.50 and Rs. 571.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 45235.37 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 32.52% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 50.25% and 13.92% respectively.

UPL’s step down subsidiary -- Advanta Seeds Holdings UK has acquired Advanta Holdings (Thailand). Advanta Seeds Holdings UK has invested $22,000 in cash. The acquisition has been completed on September 3, 2024. Advanta Holdings (Thailand) is acquired to carry out seeds and related business.

UPL is engaged into manufacturing of agrochemicals, industrial chemicals and production and sale of vegetable and field crops.
